Business Education Committee
The San Diego East County Chamber of Commerce’s Business Education Committee believes that education is the cornerstone of our region’s economic health and is key to the well-being of all our member businesses and residents. The Mission of the Business Education Committee is to bring school districts, colleges and member businesses together in order to:
- Share information and ideas in order to avoid duplication of effort, and to foster an environment of collaboration.
- Make the resources of our business community available to our educators.
- Sponsor and conduct annual education-related events.

Annual Business Education Committee Award:
The C. Allen Paul Award is given annually to the one person in our region who has done more, during the past year, to bring the education and business communities closer together. The award’s namesake, Dr. C. Allen Paul, was one of the founders of Grossmont College, and was the first Dean of its Business School.
Meetings:
Meetings are on the third Friday of each month (Sept. 17, Oct. 15, Nov. 19, Dec. 17, .Jan 21, Feb 18, Mar 18, Apr 15 and May 20), except June, July and August. We are dark on those months due to the school calendar. Meetings begin at 8am and are usually at the Chamber office at 201 S. Magnolia Ave. in El Cajon.
Next Meeting
The first meeting of the 2010/2011 Business Education Committee is on Friday, September 17th at 7:45 AM at the Chamber office in El Cajon, 201 S. Magnolia.
